Position Title: Clerk II/Accounts Receivable
Work Location: Reynolds Building
Bristol Warren School Department Administration
Hours: 8:00 am
4:00 pm
Reports to: Accounting Manager/Director of Finance and Administration
Statement of Duties:
This position is responsible for:
1.Maintain records of cash receipts and disbursements.
2.Review, post and reconcile all credit card payments via My SchoolBucks.
3.Review/print out deposit slips and record all food services deposits made for school lunches.
4.Receive all check batches from schools for student activities account, as well as, before & after school daycare program, review for posting info, run tally of checks and reconcile to the batch information, review the batch in the bank website, post to the general ledger, and send copy of journal entry to school secretaries for student activities accounts.
5.Deposit payments received by the district via electronic scanner deposit and/or physical bank deposits.
6.Receive all A/R check payments from retirees for benefits, parents for Chromebooks, etc., apply payments to customer invoices in Infinite Visions (IV), create batch and scan checks to the bank, and post to the general ledger.
7.Drafts correspondence for past-due retiree accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
8.Post all receipts, account interest, and revenue (Town funds, Heartland funds, RIDE grant payments, etc.), and payroll ZBA transfers to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
9.Update Payroll Voucher
Qualifications:
1.High School Diploma and 4 years' experience or Associates Degree with 2 years' experience in the accounts payable field using Automated Accounts Receivable/ Accounting systems.
2.Must be detail oriented.
3.Must have outstanding organization skills.
4.Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
5.Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Google G Suite (docs, sheets, mail, etc.).
6.Confidentiality and discretion when handling district business.
7.Experience with Infinite Visions School ERP Pro accounting software a plus.
8.Alternatives to qualifications at the discretion of the Superintendent.
