JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Basic Job Summary:

  • The primary functions of this job include but are not limited to inspecting and receiving diagnostic products into various WMS (Warehouse Management System). Put away of diagnostic products into a designated location.

  • Perform picking; order assembly; packaging and labeling of diagnostic products for shipment to affiliates and end customers.

  • Utilization of fork lifts and various other material handling equipment to unload/load trailers and move product throughout the warehouse.

  • Warehouse working conditions vary from

  • 20C freezer; 2C to 8C cooler and 15C to 30C.
  • High bay area requires stocking and picking in equipment that reaches 40' in height.

  • Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

  • Operation of fork lifts; which includes unloading and loading of trailers

  • Inspect incoming product for damage and verify against the shipping manifest for accuracy

  • Utilization of multiple computer systems to accurately process receipts; put away; picks; replenishment

  • Elevate inventory discrepancies to inventory control or management for resolution

  • Effectively work with QA organizations to disposition incoming product

  • Packaging and labeling of customer orders which require heavy lifting and standing

  • Position Accountability/Scope

  • Failure to properly receive and process orders could result in fines to the company; product loss; negative

  • impact on compliance or regulatory status. Improperly processed orders could result in product shortages

  • preventing customer or manufacturing orders from being fulfilled. Failure to perform systems transactions

  • accurately could result in inventory discrepancies; inadequate tracing and destruction of product.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School degree or GED. Incumbent must be able to perform basic math; read ; understand and make decisions based upon written operating procedures.

  • Must have good hand eye coordination and general math and reasoning skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge for data input and making decisions related to inventory part, lot and quantity.

  • Previous fork lift experience and the ability to meet Abbott requirements for obtaining fork lift certification.

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with frequent changes to priorities.

  • Past experience with warehouse management systems.

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for sourcing, quoting and purchasing material for customer orders and store stock. This on-site product specialist sources and procures a wide variety of plumbing, electrical, building supplies and industrial repair parts. The ideal candidates are dedicated, positive and enjoy working as part of a team.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities include: </strong></p><ul> <li>Coordinate and maintain rapport with key vendors.</li> <li>Utilize systems for sourcing, quoting and purchasing materials for customer orders, planned jobs and store stock.</li> <li>Generate purchase orders and contact vendors to confirm pricing and availability. </li> <li>Place orders to meet customers’ schedules and follow up with suppliers on order statuses.</li> <li>Provide customer service support as the MRO subject matter expert with plumbing, electrical, building supplies and industrial parts (an emphasis on electrical materials). </li> <li>Provide customer service support with order confirmations, product availability and problem resolution.</li> <li>Assist warehouse personnel when necessary to identify and confirm incoming product.</li> <li>Monitor purchase orders, resolve pricing and/or product discrepancies. </li> <li>Correct quantity and product description issues.</li> <li>Record all activity changes on purchase orders and sales orders.</li> <li>Process vendor returns for deficiencies and/or non-compliance.</li> <li>Select carriers, negotiate rates and manage operational issues with freight carriers.</li> <li>Process freight invoices, resolve freight claims and issue freight credits.</li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.</li></ul> <p><strong>Experience &amp; Background:</strong></p><ul> <li>Experience with MRO, building/construction and industrial materials (Knowledge of electrical products preferred). </li> <li>Experience working in a U.S. Military installation and/or governmental environment.</li> <li>Customer service background a plus.</li> <li>Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li> <li>Goal-oriented multi-tasker who is self-motivated to accomplish tasks in innovative and creative ways.</li> <li>Effective communicator (verbal and written) working with multiple levels of governmental and/or corporate hierarchy.</li> <li>Proactive team member looking ahead for solutions benefitting our customer base.</li> </ul><p><a rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external"></a><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li> <li>Problem resolution and customer service skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li> <a rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external"></a>Must be a US citizen and able to pass DOD Background check to work on US Military Facility.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Medical, Dental, Life, LTD, 401K, PTO</p><p><strong>Day shift position</strong></p><br> Noble Supply & Logistics North Chicago IL
