The job of Clerical Support II / Guidance Clerk is done for the purpose/s of providing clerical support to the
Guidance department; communicating information to students, parents, staff, and/or other districts;
maintaining student information and files; and providing information and/or direction as may be
Assists in the preparation of a wide variety of fiscal and statistical reports for the purpose of conveying
information, ensuring compliance and/or achieving program objectives.
Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Maintains records and/or files for the purpose of ensuring an up-to-date reference and audit trail for
Prepares written materials (e.g. correspondence, memos, schedules, etc.) for the purpose of conveying
information, documenting activities, and/or ensuring compliance.
Processes documents and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties
and/or ensuring accuracy of data.
Responds to inquiries of staff, the public, parents and/or students (e.g. scheduling appointments,
providing information on school policies and procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing information
and/or direction as may be required.
Schedules appointments for the purpose of ensuring that program objectives are achieved in an

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills

20% standing. The job is performed under some hazardous conditions.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
