Job Overview: The Clerical Associate (CA) coordinates daily unit functioning to assist RN, physician, ancillary and support staff to provide high quality patient care.# They also provide superior service to all internal and external customers.# The CA must be able to demonstrate the proper use of communication devices to carry out unit functioning. The ability to communicate technical and regulatory requirements to key stakeholder groups, including patient and family, accurately and in a service oriented manner is required. Unit Description This 43 private bed plus suite unit provides care for surgical/medical patients, with an emphasis on the post-operative patient. The staff on Surgical Medical Care Center (SMCC) provides care to a wide variety of patients including trauma patients, post-operative patients, genito-urinary procedures, head and neck cases, bariatric surgical procedures and multiple medical conditions. SMCC is recognized for its teamwork and dedication to quality care and patient safety.# SMCC is sought after by Schools of Nursing for the wide variety of learning experiences, teamwork, patient population, knowledge of complex wound management, and nursing expertise.# # Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education: Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire. Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred# Successfully completes Epic class#as required by care center/unit. # # # # # # # # #
