THE POSITION

In this role, you will provide clerical and office support to staff within the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (BVRS) District Office. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide direct clerical support for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. Your duties will include transcribing written notes, drafting correspondence from assigned counselors, and filing information as per case filing system. Additional responsibilities will include completing all applicable customer information and entering handwritten or dictated case information into the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) on behalf of all case management or management staff to complete and maintain the electronic case file.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Alternate Work Schedule eligible position.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

  • Graduation from high school; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
