THE POSITION

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will support the Department of General Services managed buildings by monitoring the mechanical systems via software systems and conducting various tasks within the Department's work order system.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Monitors building management software systems for alerts and responds according to predesignated decision criteria.

  • Provides administrative & communication support for Commonwealth entities and the Department's work order system.

  • Acknowledges, records and creates work orders for alerts received from the building Management systems.

  • Acknowledges, records and creates work orders for facility issues received from capital police, security or other reporting entities.

  • Prepares and formats correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents in draft and final form.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

  • Available shifts include: 7:00am to 3:00pm, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, and 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $34,621.00 annually (before taxes).

  • This position is considered an essential employee, required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

  • Graduation from high school; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
