THE POSITION
The PA Department of Labor and Industry is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 for the SWIF Underwriting Division in our Scranton, Pennsylvania office. This position processes policy revisions, updates or changes, as requested by insureds, brokers, agents, as well as customer service functions and other clerical and office duties.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Officer and Clerical Supervisor, the person occupying this position is responsible for the following duties. Processes daily mail by reviewing, sorting, and distributing to the appropriate personnel, and stamp dating of receipt. This includes handling original policy-related documents (information pages, endorsements, reprints, etc., from OIT and processes accordingly). Prepares policy packets and other policy-related information for mailing to policyholders and Brokers/Agents. Utilizes the SMART System on a daily basis, making the necessary changes and updates to policies, as required by Policyholders, Brokers/Agents, and Pennsylvania Compensation Review Board (PCRB) and Coal Mining Compensation Review Board (CMCRB) correspondence. These changes and updates can be change of address information, experience modifications, anniversary rated dates, federal identification numbers, telephone numbers, ownership information, additional locations, and related information.
