Summary: The Utility Process Laborer will perform general labor duties within the Clean Sugar Technology wastewater treatment plant and other utility areas of the Clean Sugar Technology plant. This includes but is not limited to, gathering and testing in-process samples, reporting data to process operations, and general labor responsibilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collect and test routine in-process wastewater samples. This includes the process from the waste tank, pretreatment membranes, and the aerobic wastewater treatment plant.

  • Collect and test routine wastewater discharge stream to the city of Shenandoah.

  • Daily operation of basic mechanical processes.

  • Monitor and maintain chemicals and processing aids.

  • Perform Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping activities.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Requires a valid driver's license.

  • Be able to operate utility vehicles and Fork Truck.

  • Must be hard-working and self-motivated.

  • Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs, and work at heights.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

  • The employee is regularly exposed to dusty conditions.

  • The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments.

  • The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions.

  • The employee will regularly be exposed to chemicals used in the process.
