Full-Time Spanish Teacher

Summary

Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory Academy is a pre - K - 8 school centrally located at 20 Island Avenue in Madison, CT. We are a regional, private, independent Catholic, co-ed school serving the CT shoreline. We strongly believe in faith, high rigor learning and teaching, and inspiring tomorrow's leaders. Strong candidates should have a current CT Teacher Certification.

The position is available August 27, 2024.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our independent Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Spanish to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging Spanish lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students from different grade levels.

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to actively participate in Spanish language acquisition.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their language development.

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic approach to education.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or Spanish (Master's degree preferred).

• Teaching certification and experience working with students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 (preferred).

• Proficiency in Spanish language and a strong understanding of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and culture.

• Knowledge of Catholic teachings and values is preferred.
