Classroom Teacher / Special Education

Job Description:

Wind Gap Middle School, Pen Argyl School District, is looking for a talented teacher to fulfill a position as a special education teacher in our school. Contracted position starting the 2024-2025 school year.

Will be responsible for IEP development and implementation. Strong skills with co-teaching and collaborating with regular education teachers and related service providers is essential. Our students deserve the best, so we are looking for an individual who has a solid understanding of the elementary level learning process and the best pedagogy to match that learning process for students with IEP's, a high drive to foster student success, and an ability to effectively co-teach to support high performance from all of our students. We value hard working individuals who are willing to be leaders in instruction and part of a team approach to learning within a middle school.

Salary will be in accordance with the current salary schedule.

Applicants must upload the Pennsylvania Standard Teaching Application, letter of interest, resume, copy of PA teaching certificate, college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and the following forms current within one year: Act 34 (PA Criminal History), Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History), Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint Check) and Act 82 form.

Additional paperwork will be required prior to/upon hire, including but not limited to PA School Health Record with TB test, Act 168 (Disclosure for current and previous employers), and I-9.
