Classroom Teacher / Special Education

Job Description:

Full-time position beginning with the 2024-25 school year. The person in this position will be responsible for the instruction of special education students focused on ensuring students meet their post-secondary goals around education and training, employment, and independent living. This includes academics, interpersonal skills, and activities of daily living; instructing students ages 18-21 within the classroom, during community-based learning, and during employment training; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction with established guidelines.

Must have the ability to collaborate with numerous stakeholders, ability to work with students with IEPs, ability to facilitate IEP and Special Education meetings, and be able to manage numerous IEP and caseload needs.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Ability to write and implement all special education documentation.

Ability to operate district vehicle to transport students within the community.

Candidate must have required PA certification in Special Education.
