POSITION TITLE: Secondary Teacher, Science, Biology, LTS, Semester 1 (8/20/24-1/24/25)

POSITION GOAL: To develop awareness in students and for them to acquire knowledge of subject matter in middle and high schools; to create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to continue learning at the secondary level, in accordance with each student's ability.

The Secondary Teacher shall possess the following:

1.Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university.

2.Valid PA Department of Education Instructional Teaching Certificate in the area and at the level of this job description.

3.Understanding of Pennsylvania Core Standards.

4.Strong content knowledge in the subject area.

5.Strong skill set in human relations, communications, problem solving and organization.
