Job Description:

POSITION TITLE: Biology Teacher

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, Contracted position (To Start the 2024-2025 School Year)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PDE Science- Biology Certification (7-12)*preferred
• PDE General Science Certification (7-12)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide Biology instruction to High School students

• Teaching responsibilities include biology and general science

• Communicates with parents about students' progress

• Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals

• Plans, develops, writes, and implements curriculum and educational programs in accordance with educational/treatment goals and students' abilities.

• Manages student behavior to encourage best possible student educational experience

• Evaluates student's academic growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports

PREEMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s)
