Classroom Teacher / Music

Job Description:

Reports To: Building Principal

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree

• Valid Missouri Certification in Vocal Music, grades 7-8

• Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferred

• Demonstrates expertise in knowledge and teaching of vocal music

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Teaches vocal music ensembles

• Plans and uses appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials and equipment

• Works closely with special needs staff for the success of the students

• Prepares students and required documents for District and State auditions and competitions

• Plans, rehearses, and directs musical experiences for the school and community

• Attends and participates in faculty meetings, in-service activities, workshops, course-work, seminars, and other activities that promote professional growth and lifelong learning for the teacher

• Other duties as assigned

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
