Music Teacher

• FT (1.0)

Required: Concert and Symphonic Bands,

Piano, & Chamber Orchestra Strings

Preferred: Jazz Band, Pep Band, &

Annual Musical

• Pit Orchestra Conductor

The successful candidate will:

• Promote 21st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and goals of The Woodstock Academy; and

• Facilitate individual, departmental, and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of collaboration, and a focus on learning.

Minimum qualifications:

• Connecticut 049 certification;

• Demonstrated excellence in secondary school instruction;

• Knowledge of the best practices in Music, the ability to use instructional technology, and familiarity with a block schedule;

• Positive attitude, integrity, collaboration skills, and a cooperative attitude and a sense of humor, essential; and

• You will be asked to demonstrate musical competency as part of the interview process.
