Job Description:
A vacancy exists for a Remedial (Math & Reading) Teacher to work within the Office of Student Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit! This is an Itinernant position supporting K-12 students in both nonpublic schools and school age programs. This position is available starting the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications:
Valid PA Certification inReading Specialist K-12 AND at least one of the following:[Elementary K-6] OR [PreK-4 and 4-8 with Mathematics 7,8].
Prior successful instructional experience in similar school programs preferred.
Current Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide remedial reading and math instructional support in pull-out programs for K-12 students in PA ACT 89 eligible non-public schools and school age programs.
Location:
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. This position will service non-public schools located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)
2024 - 2025 Salary:
Bachelor's, Step 1: $52,572/year
Master's, Step 1: $63,582/year
