At Great Oaks…

• CT Certified Teachers in Charter Schools continue to acquire pension services.

• Our teachers receive weekly professional development during half-day Tuesdays.

• We offer discounts for masters and certification programs through our partnerships with Fairfield University and offer individual support for RELAY and WGU students.

• We have four instructional coaches on staff to help support, plan, and provide feedback.

• We value members of the teaching community currently holding Long-Term Sub licenses as fully compensated instructors and provide support and guidance for the certification process.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in your desired relevant field or related discipline is required. A valid teaching certificate or review of transcripts for certification options is required.

• Teaching Experience: Proven experience in a classroom setting, demonstrating effective teaching methods and a passion for student success is preferred.

• Collaborative Spirit: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents. A team player who contributes positively to the school community with an unwavering belief that all students will succeed.

• Innovative Teaching Approach: Demonstrated ability to incorporate innovative and engaging teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficient in analyzing student performance data and using it to inform instructional practices. A commitment to continuous improvement and adapting teaching strategies based on student needs.

• Technology Integration: Comfortable with technology in the classroom and a willingness to integrate digital tools for enhanced learning experiences. Familiarity with [specific educational software/tools] is a plus.
