Job Description:

The ELA Instructional Coach (4-8 Grades) at Johnson and Bethel Middle School collaborates regularly with Classroom Teachers and Building Principals to enhance student literacy achievement. This role involves extensive, ongoing collaboration with teachers to improve instruction and curriculum, as well as utilizing assessment to monitor and enhance student success.

Qualifications:

• Extensive Literacy Knowledge Required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A) A valid Connecticut Certificate as a classroom teacher.

B) An exceptional employment history demonstrating highly effective teaching skills and positive contributions to the school and district.

C) Reputation among staff, students, and parents as a strong, positive role model with excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.

D) Proficiency in current educational research and instructional strategies in literacy.
