POSITION: Grade 6 English Language Arts

LOCATION: 1.0 FTE - Woodbury Middle School

START DATE: August 21 & 22, 2024 (New Faculty Orientation)

August 23, 2024 (First Day for All Teachers)

DEADLINE DATE: Until Filled

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out teaching assignments consistently and enthusiastically.

• Implement research-based instructional practices; modeling and utilizing new methods and techniques aligned with the teaching of secondary English education.

• Use a variety of assessment tools including alternate means, as required, and analyze multiple sources of data to drive instruction and student achievement.

• Communicate effectively and consult with students, parents, teachers, support staff, and administrators to support student success.

• Think flexibly and adapt to the specific instructional needs of students with diverse backgrounds.

• Develop goals related to teacher practice, student growth, and school improvement in-part through the development and revision of curriculum and various types of assessments to align with district initiatives.

• Demonstrate a willingness to seek and act on feedback from instructional leaders, colleagues, and administrators

• Collaborate within and across subject areas to develop and enhance lessons and assessments that align with state standards and the Region 14 Vision of a Learner.

SALARY: Per Teacher Contract

QUALIFICATIONS: The following teacher certification is required:

015 - English (7-12), 305- Elementary (1-6)
