Performance Responsibilities:

1.Collaborate and establish positive relationships with teachers, building administrators, parents, and District Coordinators.

2.Assess student needs and providing support or extra resources to struggling students as well as exceptional achievers.

3.Actively involve students in the classroom through group work, project-based learning, exploration, questioning, discussion, and other cooperative teaching techniques.

4.Read all prescribed novels, poetry, and additional resources to gain a thorough understanding of them before developing lesson plans and curricula.

5.Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs all students

6.Integrate technology, including google classroom seamlessly into teaching strategies and practices

7.Analyze existing student achievement data to drive instruction.

8.Maintain accurate student records, parent communications records and student progress data

9.Attend professional development opportunities that promote improved instructional strategies and support researched-based resource material needed to implement the intervention program successfully and support/maintain professional growth.

10. Follow district guidelines and policies.

11. Maintain proper professional conduct as defined in the Connecticut Code of Professional Responsibilities for Teachers.

12. Keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information.

13. Perform other related duties as assigned by building administrators and district directors.
