KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic professional with teaching experience.

• Specific experience teaching secondary level English students.

• PA certified Spanish and French teachers are qualified to teach courses involving the following content: oral and written Spanish and French material including phonics, grammar, writing, and conversational material with a focus on pronunciation, key words, and phrases.

• Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate mastery of both languages from Level 1 through AP levels.

• Must possess strong instructional talents and have demonstrated effective classroom management practices.

• Must share in the District's mission to promote student success in a supportive positive school climate.

• Excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills are required.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, staff, parents and the District-wide community are necessary.

• Experience teaching in a technology rich, 1:1 school environment is preferred.

• The successful candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues and District leadership to deliver highly engaging curricular experiences to students.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Certification: A valid (active) Pennsylvania Instructional I/ II certification in FRENCH PK-12 AND SPANISH PK-12 is required.

COMPENSATION

FLSA EXEMPT: in accordance with the SLSD-SLEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
