Wind Gap Middle School, Pen Argyl School District, is looking for a talented teacher to fulfill a Long Term Substitute position as a Family and Consumer Science teacher within the middle school with additional responsibilities of teaching and case managing gifted students throughout our district. Anticipated dates of service would be August 20, 2024 to January 21, 2025.

Our students deserve the best, so we are looking for an individual who has a solid understanding of Family and Consumer Science skills, techniques, and pedagogy, knowledge of the aspects of independent living, the middle school aged learning process, and knowledge of best practices to meet the diverse needs of our 8th grade students. We value hard working individuals who are willing to be leaders in instruction and part of a team approach to learning within a middle school.

Salary will be in accordance with the current salary schedule. Due date for application is May 10, 2024.

Applicants must upload the Pennsylvania Standard Teaching Application, letter of interest, resume, copy of PA teaching certificate, college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and the following forms current within one year: Act 34 (PA Criminal History), Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History), Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint Check) and Act 82 form.

Additional paperwork will be required prior to/upon hire, including but not limited to PA School Health Record with TB test, Act 168 (Disclosure for current and previous employers), and I-9.
