Elementary Teacher

Under the supervision of the Principal, the successful candidate works to plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to students as a whole group while differentiating the needs of the individual. There are grade 3 and grade 5 positions available at Nether Providence Elementary School as well as Swarthmore-Rutledge School beginning in the 24-25 school year. Applicants will be screened for both positions through this posting. If you are considered for the grade 5 position, you will be required to acquire the grade 5/6 add-on certification during the 24-25 school year if you do not already have it.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate active learning while using relevant pedagogical practices and instructional technology to support and differentiate instruction, particularly for students with special education needs and/or English Language Learners (ELLs).

• Observe and evaluate student performance outcomes; monitor the progress of students' academic growth and development for the purposes of improving professional practice.

Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, assignments, and projects; provide appropriate and timely feedback.

Qualifications:

• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II PK-4 with 5/6 add-on, K-6, or 4-6 certification preferred.

• Bachelor's degree and willingness to pursue proper certification through PA Department of Education

• Prior experience preferred
