Classroom Teacher / Elementary School Classes

Job Description:

The 5th-grade ELA Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. The teacher will create a positive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration while meeting state standards and curriculum requirements.

• Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress in reading and writing.
• Analyze assessment data to modify instruction and provide targeted interventions or enrichment as needed.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and respect.
• Implement classroom management strategies that support a structured and productive learning atmosphere.
• Regularly communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.

Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for Elementary Education in MO.
• Strong understanding of literacy development and best practices in teaching ELA.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
