  • Pre-K - Grade 8 (001)* Pre-K - Grade 6 (002)* Pre-K - Grade 3 (003)* Grades 1 - 8 (004)* Elementary Education, 1-6 (005)* Elementary, K-6 (013)* Integrated Early Childhood/SPED, PreK - 3 (113)* Elementary 1-6 (305)QUALIFICATIONS:* Shall be certified in elementary education by the Connecticut State Department of Education * Shall have a minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience * Shall have a thorough knowledge of high-quality instructional practices and effective professional development strategies * Shall have experience in curriculum development/implementation and program evaluation * Shall effectively collect, analyze, and present data to stakeholders and lead/assist in subsequent action planning. * Shall be able to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to implement district initiatives * Shall clearly present ideas orally and in writing to a wide range of stakeholder groupsRESPONSIBILITIES: The PK-5 Math Instructional Coach shall be current and highly knowledgeable in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development, so as to support the effective implementation of the district's academic programs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide curriculum support by: * Facilitating the creation, editing, publishing, and distribution of curriculum documents/materials * Working with teachers and administrators to ensure curricular alignment across grade levels and content areas * Implementing district procedures for the evaluation and revision of the curriculum as directed by the administration * Supporting the textbook selection and adoption process by assisting, as needed, in piloting, data collection and the approval process * Provide instructional support by: * Collaborating with coaches, administrators and staff developers to implement the district's instructional initiatives * Collecting data on classroom instruction through classroom visits and collating it for use in program evaluation and monitoring * Monitoring the SRBI process district-wide and providing evidence to support necessary modifications * Participating in Data Team meetings across the district and supporting the instructional improvement process * Provide assessment support by: * Facilitating the maintenance of the district's data warehouse * Assisting in the administration of state and district assessments * Provide professional development support by: * Serving on the PDEC (EDC)* Assisting with the development of an annual professional development plan grounded in the district's goals and strategic plan * Facilitating PD workshops as needed to support district initiatives * Participating in training opportunities outside of the district as needed to turn-key learning and support the professional development planFOR A MORE DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE http://plymouth.k12.ct.usSTART DATE: August 21, 2024CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: UNTIL FILLEDIf you are interested in applying for this position, please complete an on-line application at: http://plymouth.12..ct.us.
