• • Grade 2 Classroom Teacher

Center Elementary School is seeking a 1.0 FTE grade 2 teacher beginning August 28, 2024. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Knowledge of and experience with the developmental needs of students in grade 4.

• The ability to successfully implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with common core standards.

• The ability to foster positive rapport with students, staff, and families through effective communication of high expectations for all learners.

• Strong working knowledge and experience with providing differentiated instruction and effective student assessment methods.

• The willingness to work collaboratively with teammates to align instructional practices.

• Strong working knowledge of effective classroom management techniques with a focus on restorative practices, logical consequences, and/or responsive classroom.

• Strong working knowledge of educational technology.

• A valid 305 Connecticut Teaching Certificate.
