2024-2025 Elementary Classroom Teacher- Anticipated Kindergarten Position (1)

Hours and Pay Rate Based on WEA Agreement Contract

Westbrook Public Schools is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and compassionate full-time elementary classroom teacher to join our kindergarten team for the 2024-2025 school year.

Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Providing differentiated instruction for students in kindergarten.

• Working with grade-level teams in a collaborative, MTSS model.

• Ensuring safety of students at all times.

• Attending and documenting conferences/meetings/trainings with supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by local, state, and/or federal agencies

• Maintaining inventory of educational materials and supplies.

• Other duties as assigned

Experience in an elementary setting, specifically in primary grades with play-based learning preferred.

Required Connecticut Certifications: 001 or 002 or 003 or 112 (or equivalent)

Preferred Certification: 112 Integrated Early Childhood/Special Education Birth to Kindergarten
