Job Description:

Job Title: Elementary Year Round Teacher (185 Days) Grades 2/3

Position: Elementary 2/3 Year Round Teacher

Location: Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School

Reports To: Principal/Director or designee

Supervises: N/A - Collaborates with support staff and other related services positions required.

Qualifications:

• Must meet State certification requirements (001, 002, 003, 005, 013, 305).

• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Job Goal:

To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible citizens.

Salary:

Salary as determined by union contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.

• Collaborate with paraeducators and volunteers to enhance student learning experiences.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.

• Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
