Position: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Lower Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grades 1-3)

Job Summary:

As a Classroom Teacher in grades 1-3 at the Cornwall Consolidated School, you will play a crucial role in shaping young minds and creating an inclusive classroom. Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the CT Core Standards and the pedagogical and assessment practices supporting successful student attainment of expected learning outcomes.

A strong knowledge of literacy, numeracy development, and data collection in these areas is essential. Additionally, the candidate must be able to explain their understanding of tiered intervention strategies and their experience with the MTSS process. The successful candidates must also be strong collaborators and be able to articulate their beliefs about how to contribute to a positive and energized school climate and culture. Finally, candidates must be willing to demonstrate flexibility and innovation.

About Us:

Cornwall Consolidated School is a K-8 school in rural Northwest Connecticut, part of the Region One School District. Our class sizes are small, and we believe all students can learn at a very high achievement level. Our current school enrollment is roughly 98 students.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree
• CT Certification with grade 1-6 endorsement (305) or other applicable certification
