Job Description:

The New Canaan Public Schools is seeking an Visual Art Teacher (K-4) who will be part of a highly motivated team and will collaborate our elementary visual art teachers and NCPS District Visual and Performing Arts Educators.

Qualifications:

The Visual Arts Teacher will have a minimum of 2 years teaching art full time in an elementary school setting with experience in designing and implementing curriculum. The candidate will have a working knowledge with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture; and is proficient working with technology. The candidate will use a UBD model in creating and implementing curriculum directly related to NCPS art benchmarks and will have an established record of achievement as demonstrated by student work, benchmarks and data and possess the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
