Job Details

Title: Title 1 Reading Specialist

Reports to: Building Principal of South Middle School

Available: August 2024

Terms of Employment: Salary in accordance with PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

Description: Specialist will work with students in grades 6, 7 and 8 both within the classroom and in small groups. Experience in analyzing student data to decide instruction is required.

Requirements: Must have current PA Secondary Teaching Certification and a Reading Certification, as well as current Act34, Act151 and Act 114 FBI clearances.

Pre-Employment Paperwork Requirements:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
