Job Description:

Special Education Teacher (Learning Support/Autistic Support) at Spring-Ford Area School District's Brooke Elementary School and Royersford Elementary School

This position is split between the two elementary schools.

Spring-Ford Area School District is actively recruiting a Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities are listed below but the ideal successful candidate is a self-motivated role model and educator who cultivates student's interest in education by supporting all students in their unique learning styles. Experience preferred in supporting children with academic, social and emotional needs, behavioral planning, and working successfully with parents, interagency supports and school teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and issue educational content

• Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment

• Grading assignments, evaluating students' progress, and planning educational activities

This in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. The teacher will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties requested by the Superintendent and/or their designees.

Certification:

Must have a valid and active PA Special Education PK-8 or Special Education PK-12.
