Position: Dance Teacher
Program/Department: Regional Center for the Arts
Position Length: 10 Months, following the 2024-2025 School Year
Salary Range: $45-$51 per hour
Anticipated Start Date: August 22, 2024

Qualifications: Either a bachelor's degree in dance or a degree in another subject area with significant professional experience in dance. Candidate does NOT need to be a certified teacher.
Responsibilities: RCA is a part time inter-district magnet high school committed to bring together people of diverse cultural heritage to develop in all students the knowledge, skills, attitudes and self-discipline to reach their fullest artistic potential, to live a productive life and to contribute to society as creative engaged citizens. Responsibilities include planning instruction and teaching assigned classes, creating and administering assessments, maintaining accurate records of student attendance and achievement, collaborating with other members of the RCA faculty, attending staff meetings, communicating with parents, and other assigned duties.
We are seeking a dynamic dance teacher who can teach a variety of dance genres and styles including hip hop, contemporary and modern. We will consider hiring separately for each of those disciplines, so please apply if you specialize in one particular style.
We are particularly interested in finding someone who can teach a variety of experience levels and can inspire our students to reach their individual potential.
