The Classroom instructor's responsibility first and foremost is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their happy place! This individual is a brand ambassador and inspirational leader in our education classrooms. They are responsible for teaching the how and why of skills associated with class content. They are experts within their craft and help guide students on ideas for inspiration, new projects to continue learning and practicing the skills once leaving the class. In addition, the classroom instructor offers recommendations on what next level learning options JOANN offers

Connects with customers and develops lasting relationships by greeting, listening and asking questions to understand customer needs, providing relevant and hands on creative learning experience in- store.
Know, understand and positively support the Joann brand mission and vision.
Creates a sense of community within the classroom by engaging students to share motivations, passion for crafting and progress during class.
Provide best in class customer service
Ensure class experience aligns with JOANN Mission & Vision by creating an inspiring learning experience
Be curious and seek out opportunities to learn more about tips, techniques that can be shared with students during classes.
Motivate and coach peers on how to be brand ambassadors for education, to create a full store engagement/awareness of the learning opportunities in-store and online
Ability to handle a class size at full capacity: keeping students engaged, happy and with the ability to problem solve as issues arise.
Outgoing personality, ability to inspire others, finds joy in educating others.
Have a comfort level with instructing adult and children.
Monitors class size and looks for ways to increase students per class.
Understand customer satisfaction triggers and use feedback from classes/students to improve CSAT
Understand how to recommend products and additional classes to students to grow customer Average Basket
Attends scheduled Open House events and actively drives enrollments to fill seats in assigned class or other classes offered in program.
Prepares all materials for class as described in provided class curriculum and develop
Punctual and prepared for each class, starting on time and managing learning throughout the class period.
Records student attendance as required and submits accurately for payment.
Minimum: High School / GED
Previous experience in classroom or hobby instruction environment preferred
