Work Location: Ft. Leavenworth, KS



  • Deliver training materials included in instructor guides, reference sheets, exercise materials and/or e-learning strategies to meet the objectives of each lesson.

  • Facilitate personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, seminars.

  • Moderate up to two panels of 2-6 spouses of current or former battalion and brigade commanders and command sergeants major including preparing discussion questions for panel discussions.

  • Assess customer training needs; analyze subject matter and collect training and student information to provide input for the developing and maturation of training programs.

  • Respond to customer requests and questions, and consult with customers to define need, recommend alternate or specific solutions with regards to all aspects of training programs.

  • Complete set up and tear down of assigned small group area or lecture area.

  • Teach a one-week long class, at least once a month at client location.

  • Work well both as individual contributor and as part of an integrated team

  • Convey a strong presence, professional image, and confidence

  • Experience with classroom management

  • Maintain high Instructor ratings per class


Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience as a Command Team Seminar Instructor/Volunteer

Instructor certification through a university system, nationally recognized leadership training agency, or military master trainer preferred

As an Army National Guard Air Traffic Control Operator, you'll do just that by visually tracking planes and helicopters, and providing landing and take-off instructions. Advanced Air Traffic Control Operators provide guidance on technical issues to other Soldiers. They also brief shift personnel on runway utilization, airfield conditions, weather, and ground activity. The skills you learn as an Air Traffic Control Operator will qualify you to work in civilian air traffic control towers and centers at airports and airfields. Earn while you learn Get paid to learn! Join the Guard and you will learn valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for an Air Traffic Control Operator requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you learn basic Soldiering skills.
