The Classroom Assistant (CA) is responsible for providing academic support in the classroom/laboratory to students who are enrolled in career/occupational programs.
The Classroom Assistant is a part-time, 19-hours-or-less per week appointment on a schedule established by the Program Director/Instructor. The CA may work in the classroom and/or laboratory setting assisting students under the supervision of the faculty. The CA must be able to work well with instructors.
Hiring needs are dependent on work load availability.
This position is a part-time 19-hours-or-less per week appointment with a salary range of: Tutor/Student Worker $8.25, Student CA $10.00, Professional $15.00
Salary and level are dependent on experience, education, and position availability.

Adhere to the job description and perform in an ethical manner.
Complete and submit time sheets, with the supervisor's signature, to the Perkins grant office in accordance with the payroll schedule.
Follow the supervisor's direction.
Submit reports and other materials as required by the Perkins office.
Assist in assessment of effectiveness of the CA program as requested.
All other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Maybe required to pass a criminal background check with finger printing.
Verbal and mathematical skills sufficient to perform the duties of the position, including the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
