The Wayne County Schools Career Center is accepting applications for the position of:

CLASSROOM AIDE/MONITOR - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

STARTING DATE: August 16, 2024

SALARY: Per the Board of Education approved pay scale

REPORTS TO: Nate Gaubatz

  • CTE Supervisor

WORK WEEK/YEAR: As per board-adopted calendar
29 hours per week M-F (½ hour unpaid lunch)
In addition to scheduled hours, a supplemental contract for the operational duties of the
preschool program will be assigned. The number of supplemental contract hours TBD.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • ODEW Preschool state required orientation training must be updated and/ or completed within 30
    days of employment.
  • BCI and FBI criminal records results less than one-year old must be submitted prior to initial
    employment and as required thereafter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Early Childhood Education experience or education desirable, but not required.

  • Must be able to work effectively with high school students, preschool children, and families of
    preschool children.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability and stamina to be on feet and actively moving for
    entire day.

  • Should be able to organize work schedule and work independently with minimal
    supervision.

school students grades 11 and 12. In addition the Adult Education Center offers training and
educational opportunities for adults.
