This position reviews and processes of confidential resident classification files, ensures initial and panel hearings are organized and ready for the resident and schedules and documents incoming and departing residents for community programs such as half-way houses.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Updates census and departure lists and maintains the violent offender list.

  • Updates census and daily departure list.

  • Prepares monthly internal reports and program outcome reports for the DOC.

  • Provide resident visitation requests to Department of Corrections for review and


  • Reviews new resident files and develops classification profiles.

  • Maintains classification files with updated information and prepares monthly internal reports.

  • Gathers all departmental files on each assigned resident.

  • Maintains updated files and internal reports regarding residents' eligibility for parole based on current laws.

  • Assists residents by scheduling court appearances, interviews with their Parole Counselor and prepares required documents for Parole Board hearings.

  • Schedules children, attorney and Ombudsman visits.

  • Acts as liaison between residents and half-way houses and Parole.

  • Audits records to ensure compliance Company and client contractual requirements.

  • Maintains records for electronic monitoring departed clients, and maintains archived former resident files for five years.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma with two of applicable experience. A Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience working with inmate population in residential or correctional setting preferred.

  • Good time-management and organizational skills necessary.

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license from the state in which the duties are performed.

  • Ability to use personal computers and associated software applications.
