Classification, Compensation and Recruitment Supervisor

Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC is seeking an energetic, forward-thinking, and passionate team player to join our Human Resources team to function as the Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Supervisor.  The HR office provides a full range of services for approximately 2,000 staff members for Central Regional Hospital, Whitaker Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, and Wright School, a state-operated mental health treatment program for children with serious behavioral and emotional problems. This HR office is responsible for the following human resources functions: position management, salary administration, recruitment, employee benefits, safety & health, and employee relations.

As the Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Supervisor, you will lead the Recruitment/Salary Administration Team, ensuring the effective hiring of qualified employees to meet the needs of CRH, Whitaker Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, and Wright School. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing work standards, priorities, and deadlines

  • Managing the workflow of the recruitment/salary administration team

  • Conducting job analyses and preparing reallocation packages

  • Preparing temporary and permanent in-range salary adjustment packages

  • Collaborating with HR leadership to develop best practices around recruitment, salary administration, and classification

  • Ensuring timely processing of payroll actions

  • Preparing various reports to support HR functions

This full-time position offers a comprehensive State benefits package, including health insurance and retirement. The standard working hours are Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 a.m.

  • 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility required to meet hospital needs.

CRH is a 398-bed state-operated psychiatric hospital providing in-patient psychiatric care to patients of all ages with significant mental health illnesses. Our facility is also a training site for Duke University and University of North Carolina Psychiatric Residency programs and is involved in training across multiple professional disciplines.

  • Strong analytical, data, and analysis experience specific to classification and compensation programs

  • Extensive experience with HRIS, preferably the Integrated Payroll System (FIORI)

  • Experience with automatic Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably NEOGOV

  • Proven experience in supervising a team of HR professionals

  • Preferred experience with NC Office of State Human Resources HR programs

Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required;

OR

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources;

OR

equivalent combination or education and experience.
