  • $30/hour for any load under 150 mile radius

  • 72 CPM loaded/68 CPM empty for anything over 151 mile radius

  • All miles loaded/empty over 2000, will have a 5 CPM increase for the week

  • Valid CDL-A With Tanker endorsement

  • Currently have or willing to obtain a Hazmat and TWIC (exceptions may apply)

  • 1 Year Tractor Trailer Experience within the Last 3 Years or 1 Year Tanker Experience in the Last 10 Years.

Test drive state vehicle/equipment and other motorized equipment to ensure proper operation after completion of repairs.</p><p>A Day in the Life:</p><ul><li><p>Supervise other Mechanics on a limited basis;</p></li><li><p>Rebuild, replace and/or repair major parts on cars and light trucks, heavy duty trucks, and heavy equipment (e.g., exhaust system, fuel injection, electrical systems, transmission, drive train, mechanical and air suspension, charging systems, air and hydraulic brakes);</p></li><li><p>Performs minor repairs or other related mechanical work (e.g., adjusts valves; changes and repairs all types of tires; cleans or replaces diesel injectors; repairs or replaces hydraulic components; ;</p></li><li><p>Install snow plow blades and make repairs on damaged plow assemblies;</p></li><li><p>Perform minor body repair work;</p></li><li><p>Maintain Equipment Management System (EMS) records on parts used and work performed on equipment and orders and/or picks up parts;</p></li><li><p>Service and repair of highway equipment in the field; use welding equipment to straighten and fabricate metal;</p></li><li><p>Recognize performance issues for both gas and diesel engines and properly diagnose them.</p></li><li><p>Inspect vehicles/equipment for damage;</p></li><li><p>Snow removal when necessary and other related duties as required (e.g., keep garage area, equipment and tools clean and orderly; mow grass; operate snow plow, tow truck or other equipment; repair mowers and sharpens blades; pump gasoline and diesel fuel and maintain daily records of same;</p></li><li><p>Perform service calls on roadside when equipment is disabled.</p></li><li><p>Attend appropriate training school, safety meetings, mechanic meetings or related meetings;</p></li><li><p>Order and/or pick up parts when required by supervisor;</p></li><li><p>Provide service and repair of vehicles and equipment on emergency basis;</p></li><li><p>Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor.</p></li></ul><p>What You'll Need for Success:</p><ul><li><p>High School Graduate or equivalent;</p></li><li><p>Minimum of three years experience in hydraulic maintenance, diagnostics, and repair;</p></li><li><p>Minimum of five years experience in equipment and fleet maintenance;-Extensive knowledge of and ability to use tools associated with vehicle and motorized equipment repair</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of appropriate safety practices associated with repair and maintenance heavy equipment, vehicles and/or motorized equipment;</p></li><li><p>Extensive knowledge of heavy and light duty vehicle and equipment repair.</p></li><li><p>Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and how do properly diagnosis and repair.</p></li><li><p>Ability to repair all types of equipment that is required to perform various types of highway maintenance activities such as snow plowing, paving, chip spreading, excavating, traffic line painting, traffic signal repair, and traffic sign replacement.</p></li><li><p>Skill in operating hand &amp; power tools related to repair &amp; maintenance of vehicles &amp; equipment;</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand system of mechanical procedures;</p></li><li><p>Ability to use welding and steel cutting equipment.</p></li><li><p>Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and to complete records and reports;</p></li><li><p>Ability to use repair manuals and parts catalogues;</p></li><li><p>Must have ability to read, write, and communicate clearly;</p></li><li><p>Ability to follow directions and work as a part of a team;</p></li><li><p>Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, dragging, stooping, standing and walking for long periods of time;</p></li><li><p>Possession of a valid commercial driver's license or must obtain within 90 days of employment;</p></li><li><p>Must provide own tools and agency approved steel toe boots;</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in a multi-functional team.</p></li></ul><p>Please note</p><p>The final applicant accepted for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use.
