We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Team Leader- Level II to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership to a team handling non-attorney repped bodily injury claims and property damage claims with varying levels of complexity. What does a CLAIMS TEAM LEADER - Level II do?

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Coach, train, and support team members to enhance their product management skills.

  • Exemplify leadership within your area of responsibility and the company.

  • Support company initiatives and special projects.

  • Lead and onboard a team of 4-6 Level 2 Claim Representatives.

  • Accomplish results through coaching, counseling, and training direct reports.

  • Ensure recruitment activities are executed to maintain a strong talent pool.

  • Influence others at all levels in the organization and drive consensus on key decisions.

Maintains Quality Service:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of insurance policy coverage, claims processes, and procedures.

  • Ensure prompt and accurate handling of new and existing claims.

  • Complete QA reviews, file reviews, review authority requests, and provide guidance on non-Attorney repped Bodily injury, coverage, and Liability investigations.

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to adjusters and management.

  • Identify and develop process improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure all files are consistent and properly documented in adherence to Company and State policies.

  • Resolve customer complaints, problems, and coverage questions.

Special Projects:

  • Assist and/or direct special projects and requests.

  • Proactively communicate with key personnel in other departments.

  • Maintain awareness and involvement in recruiting needs, the interview process, new hire orientation, and other ad-hoc activities.

What is required?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

License/Certification:

  • Valid Adjuster License where required or the ability to attain within 90 days of start date.

  • Ability to obtain a State required Adjuster license in any state you are assigned.

  • Maintain CE credits as required for each State Adjuster license.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Medium to High Coverage and Liability handling experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of bodily injury claims (non-attorney and/or attorney represented) adjusting experience in the auto insurance industry.

  • Prior supervisory experience is required.

  • Insurance background required; non-standard auto insurance experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of various state laws regulating the automobile insurance industry.

Other skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of Image Right and Claims Center.

  • Possesses superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to impart knowledge of customer service best practices to new adjusters.

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks, while simultaneously fostering a positive and productive team environment.

  • Ability to diffuse tense situations with customers and train others on how to de-escalate and resolve customer complaints.

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize computer systems and other technologies to complete tasks and achieve objectives.

  • Ability to gather and analyze information or data in order to evaluate results in order to recommend solutions to current problems.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
