As a Claims Support Associate at COUNTRY Financial, you will be providing support for the Property/Casualty Claims Division; Auto, Home, Commercial and Umbrella. This position plays a vital role in providing a professional, positive, satisfying, and consistent claims experience for our customers in all claims situations.


  • Reviews, evaluates, and ensures accuracy of incoming claims by navigating multiple computer systems and platforms for efficiently making claims assignments and reassignments to appropriate units. Completes all data entry required on a daily basis to document and communicate extensively with supervisors and adjusters regarding reporting requirements, adjustments, and reassignment of claim files.

  • Accesses systems (i.e. Siebel Passport, Internet, vendor database) to support general claims processing including: verification of coverage, draft data entry, ordering of claims related reports, and preparing letters, forms, and correspondence required for the claim.

  • Provides administrative assistance to multiple claims departments including the generation of claims support documents, assist with mail and imaging, answers phone calls and emails, backs-up other CSR's during high service times, compiles claims specific data for supervisor reports, and provides back-up assistance during peak periods, storm situations, leaves, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity of key customer service concepts such as first call resolution.

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills, explain insurance so that it's easy to understand for the customer.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a production, team-based environment.

  • Comfortable using multiple computer programs simultaneously to research, resolve, and document requests.

  • Strong personal computer and keyboarding skills.

  • Demonstrates strong relationship building skills, initiative, and work prioritization and organizational skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related work experience.

  • At least 4 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of property/casualty claims operations and experience working with claims reporting systems.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Interpret state unemployment claim laws and counsel clients on contestable unemployment claims and appeals daily. * Provide support and assistance on unemployment claims matters. * Partners with clients and HRBPs to identify and address areas of improvement and noncompliance that impact cost control efforts. * Audit employee termination documents and provide accurate and timely responses to state agencies and third party administrator inquires related to unemployment claims, appeals and hearings. * Obtain missing separation documents for contestable terminations in compliance with state UI Integrity regulations. * Counsel clients on the use of share work and back to work programs. * Coordinate the set up and participation in special UI programs. * Monitor claims activity to identify areas of improvement and noncompliance that impact service and cost control efforts. * Assist with the development and implementation of procedures, trainings and processes. * Responsible for managing reimbursable accounts, shared work and UI tax credit programs. * Monitors day to day claims and determinations activity and reallocates Claims Specialist workload to meet state deadlines and service requirements. * Serve as the escalation contact for claim administration questions and matters. * Provides input on claims team performance, training and development. * Assists with training and supporting claims specialists. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Associate's degree or equivalent in education and experience * 1-3 years of experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: * Bachelor's degree * Client service focus with HR background * Experience with EV-4, Salesforce, or Casebuilder * Ability to work in fast paced service center environment * Must be flexible to work until 7:00 pm, Monday - Friday * Ability to manage time and prioritize client issues * Ability to work under pressure of time constraints * Detail oriented, ability to implement concepts * Excellent oral and written communication skills * MS Word, Excel, Access * Knowledge of UI industry services and tools Software in the Cloud.
