Responsibilities
This is a multi-incumbent position. Incumbents may specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to, benefits administration, compensation, worker's compensation administration, EEO investigation and compliance or employee safety.
Incumbents should have a thorough knowledge and understanding of government regulations impacting human resources management such as: ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, Equal Employment Opportunity legislation and drug and alcohol testing. He/she must be able to assimilate and apply new information in the field of HR and to stay current on the appropriate body of knowledge required to properly provide HR services to the City. Incumbents will be assigned the more complex and difficult work assignments including working with department leaders on such issues as posting executive and mid-management, positions, reviewing resumes and developing interview panels
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources Administration, Organizational Management or other closely related field AND�5 years of experience in one of the following areas compensation, classification, employee relations, worker's compensation, organizational development or benefits administration.
License Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain as a condition of employment.
