Claims Resolution Manager

Job Description Job Description We Guide, You Grow LLC is recruiting a Claims Resolution Manager for a large trucking company in the greater Pittsburgh area. Responsibilities · Handles investigation and resolution of all liability, physical damage, cargo, and injury claims involving the company and its personnel in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner. · Develops and maintains all loss files. · Inputs new loss records into the computer system. · Investigates accidents involving Company equipment and/or personnel to obtain all facts and information relating to the incidents to facilitate determination of the Company's financial liability. · Attempts to limit the extent of the Company’s losses as much as possible. · Files accurate and timely letters/reports with claimants and/or their insurance companies, then follows up to ensure the Company collects the proper payments from parties whose negligent behavior resulted in losses for the company. · Analyzes all documentation related to claim payment requests. · Evaluates the validity of damage estimates and injury documentation submitted in support of claims. · Determines the extent, if any, of the Company's liability in view of applicable state negligence law. · Negotiates claim settlements to obtain the lowest possible financial liability for the company. · Resolves all claims involving serious personal damages. · Negotiates settlements with claimants, body shops, and attorneys as required, while coordinating the recovery of any vehicles involved with towing companies and the local authorities. · Assigns adjusters to attend to individual claims as needed. · Monitors, negotiates, and resolves all cargo claims. · Attempts to sell damaged cargo for salvage. · Ensures that good customer relations are maintained in the event a cargo claim, accident, or injury should occur that involves the Company and a customer's goods, equipment, or personnel. · Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with other departments, management, and employees to facilitate accurate and efficient performance of job duties. · Assists drivers with the processing of claims information. · Maintains information regarding DOT reportable accidents to ensure compliance with all relevant DOT regulations. · Instructs new drivers concerning appropriate accident reporting procedures and corresponding risk issues during their orientation sessions. · Ensures that all activity in the area of responsibility is conducted in accordance with the Company's safety program and all related procedures and practices. · Performs other related duties as required by business necessity or assigned by management.

Handles the setting-up and monitoring of chargebacks. · Receives, sorts, and distributes mail for the Risk Department. · Maintains records and generates reports as needed by the Risk Department. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience · 5 years of claim handling experience (commercial claims a plus) · Understand transportation coverages, contractual risk transfer and additional insured forms · Strong communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders with a sense of urgency · Knowledge of multiple state statutes, including good faith claim handling practices, regulations, and guidelines · Highly motivated and growth oriented. · Sense of urgency - at all times.
