Claims Manager, Workers Compensation

Locations: Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, Scottsdale

Job Description

Duties of this position include:

  • Provide management oversight of our Third Party Administrators' Workers' Compensation claim personnel by monitoring claims on-line using our Third Party Administrator's claims system

  • Review monthly loss runs for trends, reportable claims and/or problematic claims

  • Work proactively with the Third Party Administrator to identify claim issues and help drive claims to resolution

  • Provide superior claim services to internal and external claim partners

  • Participate in reviews with insureds, brokers, and Third Party Claim Administrators

  • Interface with Underwriters regarding claim status exposures. Discuss trends and other factors impacting their risks

  • Prepare and present internal management reports for claims with net exposure to Starr Indemnity & Liability Company in excess of $250,000, as required

  • Maintain and/or obtain any state adjuster licenses as directed by management

  • Participate in special projects as required

Skills Required:

  • 5 years handling oversight of Workers' Compensation Claims

  • College degree

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Must be self-motivated and a team player
