We are seeking a self-motivated and a service oriented Claims Director to join the team! As a member of the Arch Re Fac team, this person will play a vital role in providing an outstanding customer experience. Using their investigative and interpersonal skills, this person will work to resolve a variety of property claims in a fast paced and team-oriented environment. The Claims Director will work closely with Senior Management and play an instrumental part in training our field on lessons from losses to drive constant improvement for our underwriters. This position may require up to 10% of domestic travel, as needed.
Setup, investigate, and resolve all property claims including issues of coverage
Work directly with Ceding Companies and third party vendors to secure and analyze necessary information and resolve questions and issues that arise
Document all claim files with progress notes and reports to record results of investigation and handling
Lead special claims projects and presentations including identifying and communicating lessons from losses and trends to the underwriting team
Organize regular communication with Senior Management and Legal Department on claim activity including weekly and monthly reports
Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient and effective claims resolution
Outstanding technical claims skills and subject matter expertise (Coverage, Investigation, Estimating, Subrogation, Negotiation)
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
