A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
The individual is primarily responsible for submitting claims for loss or reimbursement. The individual will be responsible for reviewing outstanding principal balances, accumulated interest during default, escrow disbursements, corporate advances, and other pertinent fees/amounts incurred after default, and submitting these amounts for reimbursement. The individual may also be required to review origination and servicing documentation to include with claim submissions. The individual is responsible for ensuring that all claims and documentation are provided on time, completed accurately, and all claim requirements are met from submission through claim disposition. The individual will be required to adhere to strict deadlines, while also meeting all accuracy and production expectations set on a monthly basis. The individual will be expected to stay on top of changes in the industry and within the department in order to achieve the department goal expectations.
Prepare and file claims as assigned which includes but is not limited to researching and reading servicing notes from multiple mortgage servicing companies, accounting for all expenses incurred during default and eligibility of reimbursement, and reconciliation of funds sent or received.
Complete document/information requests for business partners.
Monitor claims to ensure all requirements are met until claim disposition
Work with internal and external lines of business, which includes SLS approved vendors
Monitor industry changes in the business climate
Request missing and track missing documents as needed
Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
