NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Claims Analyst to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US).

NTT DATA has the opportunity to help find and place a Claims Analyst for a temp to permanent position with one of our TPA client's. The selected candidate will work LOCALLY on site at client's location in Appleton, WI.

SUMMARY

The purpose of the Claims Analyst is to provide exceptional customer service. Claims Analysts process medical, dental, disability, pharmacy, and flexible spending claims in a timely and accurate manner.

Claims Analysts are the primary contact for our groups and members in answering claims questions and resolving issues. The analyst is also responsible for performing check runs for their groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to work during core business hours (8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.) on a consistent, regular basis

Process medical and/or dental claims, as well as disability, pharmacy, flexible spending, or vision claims, if applicable

Interpret and apply specific plan document language as well as determine eligibility for benefits during claims adjudication

Provide written correspondence and verbal information to members, group contacts, agents, and healthcare providers.

Refer potential abuse, subrogation, and adjustment claims

Perform necessary check run process and communicate check register information

Provide responsive and professional customer service for assigned groups as well as other groups with Cypress as needed.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Work with members of staff on identifying process improvements

Flexibility to work overtime as dictated by department/company needs.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE

Thorough understanding of Self-Funding and Third Party Administrating concepts. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills required.

Ability to navigate through and utilize various PC applications efficiently. Strong organizational skills, problem solving and decision making skills required.

Self-directed and self-starter skills required.

Strong understanding of claims analyst process and procedures skills. Must have coding and medical terminology training.

Must be able to work core business hours of 8:00 -5:00.
1-2 years previous experience required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Rework Analysis. Objective: to make decisions regarding routing of castings for scrap or route to rework for repairs; to take cost and repair feasibility into consideration; to coordinate rework decisions with rework inspectors and engineering. Typical Activities: A. Reviews castings and reviews inspection paperwork. B. Makes decisions on reworking or scraping parts, based on program standards, costs and repair feasibility; estimates time needed for repairs and yield on lots needing repairs. C. Evaluates rework options and determines repair methods. D. Coordinates repair decisions with supervisor and engineering as needed. E. May be required to handle hazardous waste. 2. Routing and Recording. Objective: to assure proper and efficient routing for rework repairs and complete necessary paperwork. Typical Activities: A. Takes part in and oversees routing of castings to grinders and/or welders. B. Prepares paperwork for scraping castings, with approval of engineering. C. Enters routing/analysis information in computer or manual system. D. Completes paperwork or checklist review before routing parts to shipping. 3. Work Review. Objective: to oversee the work of rework inspectors, grinders and welders. Typical Activities: A. Reviews routing of parts by inspectors. B. Provides feedback to supervisor, inspectors, grinders and welders on work quality, techniques and related information. C. Assures completion of required audits. 4. Completes a variety of logs, audits and records. 5. Safety. Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices. Typical Activities: A. Adheres to plant and department safety rules. B. Safely operates all equipment and tools. C. Identifies and reports safety problems. 6. Performs other tasks as directed. TRAINING: 1. Training is provided on the job. 2. Rework Analyst Course. 3. Visual Dimensional, Penetrant, Radiography and NDT Courses and certification as directed. 4. May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Advanced Rework Grinder skills as demonstrated by the competent performance of Rework Grinder A and Rework Inspection duties, and completion of the Rework Analyst Course are preferred. OR An equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience. 2. Working knowledge of casting parts and inspection criteria. 3. Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Tech Cards, blueprints, and drawings. 4. Ability to work independently. 5. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 6. Ability to provide working supervision and work direction. 7. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred pounds. 8. Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time. MAJOR PLANT DIFFERENCES: 1.
