Claims Service Administrator

  • Under moderate supervision, reviews instructions from claim processes and procedures for accuracy and updates the Claims Tracking system accordingly.

  • Able to sort various life and disability application/claim documents.

  • Adheres to prioritization of processing to meet turnaround time requirements.

  • Adheres to processing and production standards set for the position.

  • Prepares standard status and closing letters based on the processes and procedures for the position.

  • Handles daily phone calls to assist callers with claim forms,etc.

  • Claims experience is preferable

  • Very good with attention to detail

  • Works well independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

  • Claims experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Detail oriented to ensure accuracy

  • Computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance

  • Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge

Responsibilities This position is responsible for investigating, evaluating, reserving, negotiating, and settling of property, casualty, and workers compensation subrogation claims. * Evaluates assigned subrogation claims to determine liability and recovery potential * Prepares subrogation demands and communicates with other insurance carriers * Negotiates liability and damages with tortfeasors and/or insurance companies * File and respond to dockets filed against our business partners via Arbitration Forums * Address claim inquires and compose correspondence * Manage claims referred to outside legal counsel and/or service providers * Occasional travel may be required to attend mediation and to visit business partners Qualifications TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: * Knowledge of Tort Law and Arbitration Forums' Rules and Regulations * Knowledge of bodily injury and property damage claims· * Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with claimants, insurance representatives, and attorneys * Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions * Ability to speak, write, listen effectively, and organize her/his thoughts logically * Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment * Ability to keep pace with a high volume of work * Knowledge ranging from basic to advanced, of computer software, word processing, e-mail spreadsheets, and Internet navigation. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: * High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred * Two years claim adjusting or subrogation handling experience * Completion of, or working toward, AIC, CPCU, SCLA, CSRP or similar designation preferred W.R.
