At XPO Logistics, exceptional customer service is at the heart of our success. As the Claims Administrator, you will manage and administer claims on behalf of contracted carriers and technicians. You will review property damage claims from Profit Center Managers, complete the investigation and resolve the claim. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure the insurance claim compliance of contracted carriers and technicians, in accordance with the terms of their contracts

  • Review and audit estimates and settle claims within prescribed limits of authority

  • Conduct claim investigations, including recording statements, securing public records and analyzing report findings

  • Examine claim forms and other records to confirm coverage for loss or damage

  • Issue payments or deny claims in a timely manner, according to policy conditions

  • Effectively negotiate settlements with contractors, adjusters or any insured representative

  • Recognize and document subrogation and salvage opportunities; refer these accordingly

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3 or more years of experience in claims adjusting

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Basic knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management

  • Adjuster's license

  • 5 years of experience adjusting property claims

  • Knowledge of contracts and transportation industry-related claims

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Highly organized with proven ability to multitask and prioritize workload

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and process biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls in the U.S. in a multi-state environment Review and compute wages, and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings and that all changes to payroll are processed timely and correctly. Comply with federal, state and local taxation and regulatory requirements Coordinate and process special payments and off-cycle checks with Payroll Manager Monitor and audit time and attendance system Must understand & comply with all safety rules & company policies of Weatherford Maintain confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensure payroll information is secure Provide excellent customer service while exercising the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with employee information Performs other related duties as required and assigned QUALIFICATIONS 3 years of payroll experience Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing needs Able to work both independently and in collaboration with members of the team Ability to follow through and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with payroll systems required Proficient Microsoft Excel skills required Knowledge of Peoplesoft and Infinium payroll systems preferred POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS Weatherford offers competitive compensation and benefits upon hire; including paid vacation to start, matching 401K program, comprehensive benefits program and opportunities for on-going training and career development.
